If tourists to my area knew just how many sharks there are in the coastal waters they would never even dip their toes in the water. How many shark bites occur world wide in any one year. Not all that many when you take into account the number of people who swim, wade, surf and play in the ocean. maybe a hundred attacks every year and millions of people playing in the ocean. Odds are better of winning the lottery than getting bit by a shark. I like my odds of not getting bit.
