What a beauty - congrats! Reminds me of how much I look forward to finding gold again someday.
Oh, I don't doubt that it might be some type of good stone - especially in that 18K. I'm just wondering if other stones that aren't diamonds or sapphires make those tester indicators go up a bit. I don't think I've ever tested on anything that wasn't a diamond or suspected diamond or one of my watch crystals.I can tell you it’s not man made or glass. There are flaws and sharriations visible.
That is EPIC ! Highly recommend getting the appraisal. Mine is $75 and they are GIA certified , etc. All in writing. Totally worth it.UPDATE..... for those who wanted to know. The Jeweler said it definitely tested 18k+. It was custom made for the stone. He said the stone was around 1 3/4 to 2CT .....drum roll... it is a yellow Sapphire that was Emerald cut. He said he really couldnt give me a guess on value without doing an appraisal because they would have to evaluate the stone more.
Thanks everyone. I’m”Curious George” now this one may get looked at by a jeweler. Glad the young guys leave us old guys a few of these….. but then maybe the point is … heart stopper
KOB… I’ve kind of accumulated a few now that honestly I need to have appraised. It’s not the cost but more why? Not sure what will happen to my stash when I head N or S I don’t really think family really wants it and don’t have the same passion I do for it
