I love dirt fishing Earl... I never hunted the beaches until 2005.. I was all dirt...

I'm not a park hunter.. I just hunt private properties having my landscaping business I offer people a small service on the properties I want to hunt... all the years I have been asking permission I have only been turned down twice...

It was a fluke I chose to try beach hunting with a friend who has since passed away... we both purchased Detector Pro Headhunter PI's deep but I hated the big open coil as did Raymond... so we took them back to the dealer who then sold us 2 PI PRO's I loved that machine found a huge amount of gold over a 5 year span.. then the Dual Field came out so I sold my PI PRO... never found the amounts I was finding with the Pro so I soured on the DF.. I was disappointed believed the hype... don't get me wrong I found a lot of gold with the DF as well but I did much better with the PI PRO.

The Diablo looked great. I always wanted to try it.

With this Equinox and it's fair to poor pinpointing and losing targets in the hole......The wider the scoop is the better for me now.

This AQ is being designed and manufactured by a well known detector manufacturer. Hopefully that is the difference maker as to its final release.

Get it right. If it lives up to the hype the wait will be worth it.

Nokta/Makro is supposedly working on their simultaneous multi frequency unit. Beyond that what is there to look forward to In the beach hunting detector world?

Garrett.....Whites? We seem to be running out of options.

I agree Goodmore, one man show compared to a Company.

Diablo was a great scoop, used them for several years, just sad Greg had to shelf it for his regular job had changed and required more time.

On the Fisher "AQ"......... I see many things I like and willing to wait for, I don't see it replacing my Excalibur but I do see it as being a machine that will continue where the Excalibur starts to struggle. I say this because Knowing what your walking into, then having the right tools adds to the chances of finding what your there for.

I like what Terry has to say in this FB post....

Less than $5000  $4999 that is less than $5000

There is a sucker born every minute...

Mmmmmm

Cfm-ct , if it's under 2500 4 sure , over I will wait on the next generation TDI, OBN can cash in some gold , I don't like getting robbed , price & warranty will be there Devel, or like you say Pulse Devel  PS that post just killed off 5000 Wtg pirates :yoda:

Honestly I believe it will be around $2000. Still an ouch....but some paid full price for the CTX too. We may still see those who will be disappointed..... if they have 3’ of sand over everything. BUT.... few days with it on my beaches and who can resist hitting the treasure coast for a few days.

Why would he post its going to be under $5000? If it was going to be around $2000 Why didn't he say its going to be under $3000 good luck buying one of them... this is my hobby.. I'm not shelling out over $3000 for a metal detector

Think of it like this Earl, the higher the price the less you have to worry about the competition having one...;)..And you will be the only one on the forum that has one.......:D

I'm going with what Dew said...2000. to 2500.oo which I think many will go for.

Hmmm.. just thinking.... if I can get 2+ feet on my PI... I bet I will get 4 feet on this Ghost detector ! Imagine digging a 18 gram gold ring at 4 feet ! On the beach ! Think of the crowds cheering me on ! Downside is only about 2 or 3 targets a day. Oh....and filling the hole...

I have dug 18 gram rings that were an inch under the sand its not all about depth..

Where I hunt in the rocks and out in the water my Excal will suffice... we don't have feet of sand up here... after about 6 inches of sand it turns to a gravely mixture and after that is clay and peat... nothing goes past that...

Here is a nice sandy beach for you that we hunt... We didn't take Earl to this spot... it would have killed him

Yep, ROI considerations and payback pricepoint considerations.....gotta keep it reasonable for beach/water gold hunters to justify a higher finds profit/working life of the rig or they will just stay with what they have...

We have learned the limits of the available rigs strengths and work them accordingly..we hit the beach after the storms and cuts and blowouts and find gold stuff just fine right on the deck....

So a guy has to pitch an alternative 'value proposition' for anybody to even have a look at this rig....really unique strengths we dont have is what its about...

Can it hit gold chains and pull gold from iron? Is it light and fast and powered by 4 Dubble A's? Is it waterproof to at least 50'?...Multi tone, durable, simple, and instinctive of course....

If its a modified CZ brick gobbling up 4 9v's...Thanks for nothing...Got one already...A new intro product in our niche has got to have something special or we will work with what we have and know...

I dont want to dig a 2' hole in knee deep surf for a splitshot or a zipper or a pulltab...'accuracy of target' should be the primary focus instead of depth capability....sure its a tough demand, but hey...thats what these new design detector Poindexters get paid for right?!
