I am thinking they addressed the problems but also needed to get away from the Nokta "being more for less".
Great what are the prices??? Anyone??
They are suing Nokta for patent infringement. That issue may go away if they win.
And that would be good in what way, competition only benefits all of us that detect, and brings prices down to reality,I personally hope Nokta/Macro turns around and slaps a counter suit on mine lab for copying installing a light and vibrating handle on the new Nox detectors and Manticore, Nokta and Macro have been doing that on all of their detectors for quite some time LOL, so what you elude to its ok for mine Lab to copy but no one else, when Mine Lab filed their suits their patents were expired, so what exactly is Mine Lab suing about, if they win to monopolize the detector industry, how is that a good thing

Maybe I read to much into this statement by you copied and pasted your statement
but when I read things like your statement it reads like people are hoping Mine Lab wins this bogus Law suit and Nokta/Macro goes out of business all together
all mine lab is trying to do is monopolize the detector industry in my opinion
and do not take me wrong I love mine lab detectors the Xterra 705 is my favorite detector I have used, I have placed an order for a Manticore, and thinking about picking up a Equinox 900 also
personally I hope they reconsider the law suit and just drop it all together because if they do win (Mine Lab) it will be a sad day for detecting and that is just my opinion.

I'm swinging an old xterra 705 and I'm ready for a new machine. I was all set to order a Legend Pro package until I heard of the lawsuit and then the announcements of the Equinox 700, 900, and Manticore to further muddy the water. I hope Mine Lab loses. If I feel that the reason they have upgraded the Equinox was because they were feeling the pressure from the Legend. I could be wrong of course but I find it odd that they announced the 700 & 900 around the same time as the suit. If Nokta loses, they may have to cease production of the Legend or more likely pay Mine Lab a license fee which will be added to the price of the Legend closing the gap in pricing. Time will tell.

agree with you I have two Legends, didn't stop me from ordering a Manticore, I do not believe the Nox 700 and 900 have anything to do with the Legend simply because there were to many build quality issue complaints way before the Legend emerged on the scene, those build quality issues were never fixed by Mine Lab and they should have been, when I personally witnessed several of my friends that had both Nox 600 and 800s have to replace shafts, and personally seen two of those same friends have to get replacement control pods because of water intrusion in there Nox 800s not once but twice and then coil ears breaking off for no apparent reasons that's when I refused to purchase a nox 800 and waited for the Legend, I have a bad feeling that the Nox 700 and 900 will still have coil ears break for no apparent reason, simply because the coils for the 800 and 600 are compatible with the 700 and 900 so if that is the case i do not believe they have made any kind of change to the coil ears and since i am not a water hunter I will at some point pick up a nox 900, because of the expanded TID range, which is the one thing that I do not care for on the Legend A larger TID range would suit my detection of Gold Nuggets better I believe
ML has a long history of lawsuits, most of them lost far as I recall.
They for their part seemed to have pinched the idea of built in flashlight and vibrating handle from others ,,, I haven't seen the details so really have no opinion, seems to me if no one copied from anyone else we'd all be driving the same cars, same pair of shoes, ect
from my understanding all the coils for the Nox 600,800,700 and 900 are all compatibleAre the equinox 6&800 coils compatible with the 7&900? Did they upgrade and attain an IP rating? I do like my current equinox to pick up another, but told myself I would never do so unless they made some upgrades. I'll wait a year and see how these machines pan out, manticore included.

NO>Incorrect! Minelab upgraded very little to the 700 and 900. But for Minelab>>>>this was ALL ABOUT A QUALITY upgrade. The flooding 600 and 800's were costing them 10's of thousands

well you just stated what I was basically saying, again I do not believe the 700 and 900 had anything to do with the Legend's emergence, but rather Mine Lab wanting to put out a better Nox thus the 700 and 900, the issues with the Nox 600 and 800 were there before the Legend ever came to market, if you re read my reply I think you will see what I stated was the same as what you stated and there is nothing I stated that is incorrect, other wise point out the parts that I stated that is incorrect
$699 for the 700 and $1099 for the 900. The 900 comes with an extra 6" coil.
