Is the dam a private dam or Federal or State? Not trying to spoil your fun. I would just to settle my own curiosity if there are any laws pertaining to digging near a dam. I would imagine Home land security would have something to say about it. I'm just saying watch your back, word gets out you have a honey hole, and all of a sudden every one has the fever.

Brin is my stepbrother - he does work alot, and his workload is heaviest during prime metal detecting season. Funny, I was just sitting at the computer thinking about calling him to see if he wants to get out tomorrow or next week, and I see this post.......

BTW, he was my "mentor" who taught me the ropes on metal detecting - I still have his compadre that he loaned me - two+ years ago. The machine that got me hooked- but good.

I'll give him a call, and tell him you guys were asking about him. Maybe I'll be able to drag him away from work to get out detecting..........
