Not an everyday find, to be sure ... But no doubt wads like this are lost all of the time.
I once lost 40 brand new, consecutive $50 bills, felt like quite an ass as that was a weeks pay down the tubes.
Looks like quite a mess there, but certainly worth the bother to explore - Least ya don't have to worry about nice, neat plugs there.

What an incredible group of finds. I suspect that those strips may help in spite of the fact that you can pull the strips out of the bills.

I would leave the wad exactly as is and take it to the bank. THey may give you the benefit of the the doubt on the strips.

Why are you even wasting time at home when you could be digging ? I would develop a really bad cough and call in sick to work. THat's a once in a lifetime dig/detect site.
