Dime Grand Slam, 13 More Silver's

Great job at once again finding a fist full or siver! Got 5 or 6 inches of snow here, no hunting for me at the moment.

Great job Trapper! I have not gotten out to hunt since we met up last, so I'm living vicariously through your and IDX's finds! :D Keep it up until the big freeze.

Wow, awesome outings and congrats on the silver dime Grand Slam!! Love the fresh-out-of-the-hole pics, too.

Congrats Trapper, you are a silver magnet. Sweet slam on the dimes and just an overall outstanding 2 outings. If this would end your season it would be on a high note for sure. We have the arctic air and snow here also but temps supposed to moderate by the weekend and I hope for you guys as well. I would love to hear what you hear when you say a deep squeaker, although my high frequency hearing is gone and wonder sometimes if I'm missing the peeps. Also I think about if our soil is that much different from yours. A deep dime around here is maybe 8in. You have definitely tapped the next level when it comes to depth. Up till my last 2 outings I was on a dime run although on a much smaller scale but none the less glad to find the shiny stuff. Heres to you, hoping you hit 250 before years end.Good luck Mark

Very nice Trapper, that is one heck of a lot of dimes in a row! Cold rain here today so hope later in the week to get out, perhaps Friday or Saturday if there is decent weather, hope you can detect a bit longer too!
Thank yo David for your kind words. It been a great if we could get rain and then two days in the forty's no freezing nights would then allow a couple more days out there. Reality though were in the third day of mid twenty's for highs and single digit at night. Forecast here is a warm up of mid thirty's for highs over the next week. My fear is the frost has already taken, Trapper
Congratulations , your smoking hot !!
Thanks Doc. The hunts of late have been very pleasing for sure. Mother Nature though is doing her best to cool me off. Trapper

I'm thinking you have "locked on" to a secret underlayer that most of us cannot "see". Like a lost realm that one can only enter if they truly believe...and persist. Those deep dimes of many designs have been there the whole time, relatively safe in their underlayer realm; until you have discovered them with your earned ability to reach them, and persistent search to find them.
So, yeah, great report Trapper! Love the dirt shots; especially the ones where we can only see some silver rim showing! That's the stuff, right there!
You know Blaise there is a little truth in your theory. My praise falls upon my equipment. The CTX with the 17in. coil have put me on advantage to most of the competition. I know I have not been the first or only on most of the sites I have hunted. So the other part is not as easy to define. First of all I'm not a technical hunter but one that loves success. I may not be able to dial a machine in with technical knowledge but have been blessed with good friends that are. What I have though is years of learning what works and then repeating it over and over. My ears seem to be train for the specific deep peep that make the eyes open and the heart to race. The ears are so trained that I do not even hear the low tones of Nickle signals. Numbers mean little as the standard 12-45 of Silver is seldom seen on the CTX with deep Silver. But my eyes travel direct to the depth reader as that always matters. There is more such as the ground your hunting has to be old enough with history to hold the targets you seeking and of course the willingness to actually get out there to make the effort. That's my secret of success Blaise. I'm thinking I may start including the camera on future outings. Trapper

The weather might have turned for you but you are sure staying hot. Awesome finds buddy, congrats! Hope you get a warm up and can do some more detecting.

Thank you Trevor for your reply. Like you weather has hit here in Wisconsin. Snow, unseasonal bitter cold and big winds has really put a hurt on doing any hunting. Can only hope a warm up is in the future but I fear this season may be over. Trapper

Major fear Anthony the big freeze may have reached us already. I am very thankful I decided to take the camera on the last outing as now I can see those deep coins in pictures and keep that fire stoked through the Winter. Research time may have arrived a bit early. Trapper
Congrats on your thirtecta of dimes.šŸ˜
Appreciate your reply Metal. This dime streak is something else. It is now up to 28 straight. Mind you I am not complaining just that I have never experienced such a streak before. The Silver Dime Grand Slam is a bit odd but it is my first ever. Trapper

Another strong finish TrAp.
Just well down below freezing every night up here .
Congratulations on the quad .
And hitting your clad goal .

Can't say much here except-- WOW!!!. That's quite a run on silver dimes. You sir, are the master.
Thank you Todd for such a nice reply. The run on Silver Dimes Is not a norm for me. It is now 28 straight. For being the master I still have a lot of learning to do, never going to know it all. Trapper
Wow, awesome outings and congrats on the silver dime Grand Slam!! Love the fresh-out-of-the-hole pics, too.
Appreciate your reply Jeff. The Grand Slam is my first, had a lot of trifectas and even a double trifecta but the first 4 bagger ever. Thank you also for you comments on the photo's. Trapper

Thank you Mark for this reply. 8 inches I classify as a deep signal without a doubt. It is sometimes a burden to strain for those deeper sounds as I fail to hear the low tones listening for those short little peeps. That probably explains why I don't dig a lot of Gold or Nickels with the CTX. I hope this next year I get to hunt in Penn. with Air Force Mike so then I can answer the question on the soil. At this time 250 is not in the future this year. I'm just hoping to be able to get out to hunt a few more times before the year passes. Trapper

Congrats on the grand slam and other great finds Trapper! Very fitting youā€™d find some silver from the frigid north in your parts.:D

Thank you Jason for your reply. The weather has not improved a lot but I needed to get back out. Found a old spot that was only half frozen so I did some digging yesterday and went back again today today. Guess I will have at least have another report this year. Trapper

Appreciate your reply Brad, thank you. Found some diggable dirt yesterday and went back again today. Hope to get out once this week yet. Trapper

Thank you for your kind reply Fred. Getting the Slam was a great experience, one I never did before. It gets tough digging when your hands get cold but being prepared with hand warmers and extra dry gloves allows for me to play a little bit. Trapper

Awesome Grand Slam there. I've never dug a silver Canadian. Just imagine you had pulled a Seated dime too. What would you call that?? Great post as always. I really like following your progress. Hope you can get out a few more times.

Wow!
Trapper, are you detecting a coin shop?
Nice recovery.
Tom
Thank you Tom for tour reply. This has been a very nice and surprising year for me. Having time since retirement and just getting out there have been the real keys to my success. This last 2 months have been filled with a lot of dream outings. Trapper
Wow outstanding and impressive as always.
Thank you Carl. Taking the camera out there while not use to having it has adding some color to the reports with the in situ pictures. While trapping season and deer hunting have been busts this year the detecting has been outstanding. Trapper

Appreciate your comments Tyler, thank you. I guess it be called a a Quinfecta or a Grand Slam plus one.:D We have a small window right now in the weather so I hope to get the coil over a few more coins yet this year. Have another post after this one as I am on a amazing Silver Dime run in the last few hunts, check it out. Trapper

28 straight dimes! Dang nice pictures, story and hunting there Trapper!
Thank you Jeff. The Dime parade is still on the rise. Check out the next post as that Dime streak was up to 39 and is still going. I appreciate your photo comments as I am hoping that they put more color into my threads. Trapper
A Grand Slam! Those are hard to come by! Congrats Trapper! You're still killing it!
Appreciate your reply Pete, thank you. The Grand Slam was a first for me. Have dug a lot of trifectas but this was a first. This last two months has just been a tremendous amount of fun, it was also very unexpected but very welcomed. Trapper
