Other than the quarter which is just for reference..here are some items I found today...assuming all are CW

Some may not be ..but all found at a definite encampment.

Not quite sure what all the items in the first pic are exactly except the small button but it does not appear to have any markings when viewed under magnification.

And some projectiles of various sorts.

Any info/thoughts you guys have would be appreciated.
When in doubt I look to the FMDF crew !

Obviously the button, if it has nothing it could be civilian. It looks like you have some odd scabbard tip too. The last picture is iron grapeshot and canister shot from a cannon. The lead balls are either musketballs or from exploding shells. Good finds!

Thanks! Button has a bit of corrosion or something on front so I can't say for sure if something was on the frontside or not. All of that was in about a 20 foot area.

The items above and below the quarter are brass?
If so the top item looks like a powder flask spout.
Is the item below the quarter hollow?

1st pic: looks like the tip to a cane or something. Possibly a flask if it is hollow. Scabbard tip like Pa said. Knapsack rivet or tent rivet.
2nd pic is a button from any period clothing really. Nothing makes it civil war and nothing doesn't make it civil war. Just a button.
3rd pic is some nice grapeshot and canister shot. Way to go. That stuff keeps getting harder and harder to find.

Item above the quarter in pic 1 is solid and heavy it does appear to be brass.
The item below quarter in pic one seems like its hollow but was smashed flat except for the round tip or its solid...lol I can't really tell.

Thanks for all the input. I appreciate it.

The thing below the quarter in the first pic looks like the tip of a flag pole to me. Flag pommels? Is that what they are called?

Oh I will have to do a search on that. So far I haven't really found anything that looks like it except maybe a small scabbard tip of some sort but its either solid or so mashed flat that I can't tell which it is. Oh well..

hope to find more next time only had time for a small area last trip.

First pic upper right is a rivet, probably from a saddle. I found some that still had some of the leather in them recently.

Ok for anyone curious...I took all the finds from that day to be identified by a shop owner that's been in the business for a looong time.

Including some I didn't bother posting on here.
