off the iron

I haven’t been out much recently so I’ve been cleaning. I found this piece earlier in the spring and recently put it in the rock tumbler for a few hours.
Only one side has writing, and reads
Chas. Cluthe & Sons
125 E23rd St New York City
It has something to do with a fellow named Charles Cluthe who had a truss manufacturing business at that address beginning around 1906.
Anyone able or know a way to ID what specifically this piece is? Sorry I know they aren't the best pics, you'll have to trust me on the wording.
