Calabash back after the gold today with Deus 2 on beach

CW3 calls the Deus2 , better than all the water detector's , still on pre - order , wonder if he has Deus stock howboughtit , Down loaded 5.21 on my Deus tonight , I see they already have updates for it before the machine get's out , got to give them credit , they keep up with the updates

I was actually being sarcastic.

The people promoting the Deus II are doing it in a very weird manner.

I just bought a new Excalibur II as a backup to the one I bought 5 years ago and could have gotten the Deus II if I wanted. I've gotten very different results with the Excal than the videos being shown. I find targets that I have to take 3 scoops side by side off the top before I can start going down. Then the target will be 5-6 scoops straight down. I use the T-REX 9.5 scoop just to let you know, I'm not using a little wimps scoop. I will probably never own a Deus, I don't like to tones they make.

Deus 2 Beach Sensitive is running at roughly 8 kHz and 40 kHz for its simultaneous multi frequencies according to one engineer that posted on another forum.

So add to XP firsts: a SMF detector running in a 40 kHz beach mode with salt and black sand sensitivity adjustments that is capable of hitting targets in the very small gold/foil range at depth depending on beach mineralization.

As much as I sometimes get irked by Calabash telling me how great the Deus 2 is and his buddy telling me how much I am going to like it, that 40 kHz SMF beach mode may really help to find micro gold jewelry and get through some of the ground fog created by the more difficult black sand beaches.

We'll see.

Cw3

Not a fan of the T- Rex , or the Excalibur ( green machine) , had to Green machines , sold them , the T- Rex's are known for weld issues , however I wish you luck with it , my scoop's are SunSpot when Chuck owned the company , Xtreme , and a few dry sand light weight RTG scoop's , Here I don't need another VLF , interested in a new deep pi , HAPPY HUNTING

But out of the water the Nox has that same ability of running 20 or 40khz in its multi free or single freq use. That 40 kHz isn’t always a blessing…. I’ve used it in at our volleyball courts. In the water it’s going to adjust more to 8khz because of the harsh minerals and salt. Let me say also…. Running smooth doesnt always equate to depth or sensitivity

The Nox beach modes are multi frequency only. Beach 1 tops out at 24+ kHz. Beach 2 tops out at 15 kHz. Deus 2 having a multi frequency beach mode topping out at 40 kHz that actually works in wet salt sand and surf.....that is something new. But like everyone has said, it has not been tested on more iron mineralized beaches in videos yet.

You are not running the same unit the commoners got are you? :?::

If you fib something you prize will fall off and then detecting will be the only thing left for you
.....I had a good deal going with Earl on that 7,000.00 scope of his.. just could not do it. Sorry Earl.. It's like Craig giving up his snow plow. Money Maker.:D

Craig,... working on the Cuda the last few days..they sure made it hard by removing the ID's..But thanks to Carl M ..found me a schematic.

Exactly. You CAN run the Nox in gold mode out here. Does it work ? 🤣🤮🤣🤮🤣🤮

He wanted my new Telescope for 1 AQ , I said ok , than he crossed his feet , and said no deal :sissyfight: PS I have 2 pair of Skullies ;) Joe's the best :friends:

I have a Meade LX-200 10” with super wedge, dew cover, tripod etc. if someone wants to trade for the AQ (or D2). Takes up too much space in my garage and I’d like some time on a complex detector that takes time to learn. I’m sick like that.

I am trying to follow you. The DFX and BHID runs 15 and 30. Are you just talking about running two frequencies at once or 8 and 40 is a first? I mean Whites engineers did this a long time ago.

I would think going to 40 khz would make it worse on salt and blacksand and annoying on microfoil like some people that complain about the nox compared to the excalibur

DFX runs 3 and 15 kHz simultaneously.

A qualified engineer found that Deus 2 in Beach Sensitive runs 8 and 40 kHz simultaneously. That high of 40 kHz as an operating frequency in a saltwater environment goes against the standard rule of thumb that higher frequencies will be noisier in saltwater and on wet salt beach sand. From the videos I have seen on mild saltwater beaches, Deus 2 Beach Sensitive runs very quietly even in moving surf......

Annoying on micro foil......I totally agree. Whether Deus 2 Beach Sensitive can even effectively function on black sand beaches....who knows. It runs very well in the videos of Calabash and some of the European beach hunters.

40 to 50 kHz is the "go to sweet spot" frequency for most VLF gold prospectors since it will hit both really small .1 gram and much larger gold nuggets in really bad iron mineralization. Add in the salt factor with high iron mineralization.........?

I ran mine in gold mode way up in the dry sand. Found an egg sinker and a small split shot. Too annoying when you miss the dry and she gets noisy.

I did a hunt in Tahoe yesterday. Tahoe has nasty black sand where the Nox becomes useless. I can place a quarter on the ground and the Nox can't see it. I hope the D2 with its black sand mode works in Tahoe's black sand. Those black sand areas should have hidden treasures. I hunted the fringes of the black sand. It was the only area not picked clean by other detectorists that frequent Tahoe. The black sand gives lots of false signals and I can occasionally pull high conductors out. The Nox gives a high tone and VDI of 40 when hunting the edges of the black sand. You never know what the signal will be from penny to quarter or rusty nail. This will be one of the first places I do a side by side comparison of the Nox and the D2.

Well,
If we just talk about new detectorists.
They would have to buy multiple machines to cover bases of land — prospecting, coin detecting, relics, jewelry plus salt water beach to include diving to 60 feet if their cup of tea.

So buying multiple machines (good ones for task at hand) cost what ?

And which ones will offer or give 5 year warranty.
Excal warranty is what?
Eqx warranty is what ?
Tarsacci warranty is what ?
And the possible pi water machines warranty is what?

Yeah,
Deus 2 might be priced too cheap when one thinks about it.
Especially to a new detectorist who detects in lot of different detecting venues.

I look at things perhaps differently.
And those Tarsacci units, they don’t give them away either.

This Deus 2 just might be the true dream detector.
A true workhorse that does all pretty darn good detecting wise from VLF standpoint.

The price bitchers with Deus 2 are the ones who have already got lot of loot tied up in older model detectors.

Some paid this much for one of these. Some may have paid even more other places.

Yeah take this to salt water beach and stick under the water and try and dive with. Lol. Just don’t forget your Doan’s pills either.

PS
The cute little French thing just got cuter. Lol
Remember who coined that phrase?

I guess boredom has set it with all the cold weather we have been having.. last year our ponds never froze over this year thick ice since December and getting colder by the day... my furnace rarely shuts off...

Robert gave me that detector when he bought the end all NOX  He kept it in his cellar guess he never washed it off..

My detectors get a nice warm bubble bath after their dip in the cold water

I think the price is fair if it performs as stated.. all my detectors have been paid for many times over... those that may complain may not pay it off especially clad hunters... I'll buy any detector that will me an edge over others...

I don't think it will be the dream detector but anyone buying a new excalibur would have to be a fool. The only downfall would be if they hunted rough waters..but then you have to think, 5 year warranty compared to a 1 year.. Come on Minelab, you've taken advantage of us long enough with that 1 year..

I'm hoping the DEUS ll will shake Minelab up.. at least on the water machines..

Dream detector = one detector that is above average in all or most detecting venues. That’s my definition. And in the end one might get out on the cheaper side of things. And just have to master one detector not 2 or 3 or 4.

Those CTX outfits. They cost loads.

Just imagine if Deus 2 would have come out 8 years ago.
Lot of the models we have seen released since 8 years ago wouldn’t have been bought by lot of folks imo. Even me!!!

Naturally hind sight is always 20/20. So I can only imagine or dream when it comes to turning back the clock.
