Sounds like you hit the jack pot , all though a woman isn't my top priority , Last girlfriend called me of 12 years on & off , told her I just can't do the on/ off thing anymore , she's a Gemini 2 sided , good & bad 50/50 , seen one I used to date in the 90s a few times , she doesn't have her head screwed on strait , Ill probably do better staying single , doing what I want , without a boss , I like the freedom , If I meet the right girl , or not , life goes on , used to it , happy hunting .

Waiting in the past has saved me a ton of $ and headache. I'm not impressed with the very delicate nature of some of these water detectors in the past 5 years or so. My style of hunting requires the thing to be built like a tank. Having to send a detector back for repairs is a real PITA. I'll wait...

My biggest issue with the Deus isn't that it's not going to be a good machine, it well may be a great one. But just like the hyped up 'Nox in the beginning, that turned up to be a very good machine, it still had drawbacks for us water hunters which we all now know. No machine takes the abuse that we give them here - whether it's the waves pounding us and the machines and other equipment or the salt that wreaks havoc on signals. And with all due respect to dirt guys, as I was one (still am when the occasion suits me), the ocean is a whole other beast. PERIOD. Those of you that come on here pushing this machine to be God's gift to detecting to the water guys guys which have been doing this for FAR LONGER than me are missing the point, and are being disrespectful to their experience and insights in what they see in those videos on an unproven machine.

Well said ….. show us some gold and how ya got it. Maybe, might be gold…Many of us hear can more times than not tell if it’s gold …. BUT test it later. I throw my silver in a jar… even designer…. Coins that can be a time waster if they aren’t deep. Hey but some gets tons of clad by years end. It pays for equipment as does that silver. That’s their hunting method. Others spend hours … lots of hours looking for one gold ring. You have a 2 gold day out there thou you are doing the snoopy dance. THATS what our goal is…. and that’s our nitch machine. So we check um out carefully for performance and durability because water machines have alway cost us a lot to buy.

Tomorrow Calabash will be testing Deus 2 - 11” coil comparing to Equinox 800 11” coil on 2 targets with gold content.
Piece of chain he bought at pawn shop, it has a clasp on it I believe.
And the 10k earring back he found.
In wet salt sand. Various depths.
Using instructions given by Mr Dankowski in how to set up EqX detector.
We may see the 9” coil on Deus 2 used too.
Will be interesting to see results.

My expectation is the D2 will be deeper with the specs of the machine. Swing speed is also important based upon which reactivity speed is used. To slow you may go over it.
The big test every water hunter wants to see is knee to thigh deep water.

Folks ordering/purchasing Deus 2 outfits and dive or desire to have bone conductive headphones for whatever reason. Talk to your dealer. I don’t think the bone conductive headphones are part of Deus 2 package, instead they are extra item you need to order and pay additionally for.

Don't know yet if it is any better than my other detectors, but it is the most fun to swing, by far!
Very lightweight, telescopic, no cables, and lots of settings to fiddle with.
I used to swing the XP GMP and never wanted to upgrade to the Deus, found it too expensive, also didn't want to take the step to digital detectors.
The Rutus Alter proved me wrong, what a super machine that is.
But.. not fully waterproof and sadly the new Rutus Atrex isn't waterproof either.
So now I have the Deus 2, still on the learning curve so I can't really say yet if it is any better than my RA71.
