Burnt Out about the Manticore

He actually asked Minelab to send him one before everyone else lol.
I really hope they never answer him.
He might as well cut to the chase and start wearing a Bikini in his Videos.

That " Thanks for the donations so i don't have to buy my own detectors" Went against everything these guys have been preaching.

They might need to hide that XP hat first.

After 46 years in this hobby, New Roll outs don’t bother me. You just have to remember that advancements from manufacturers is good. I never buy the early release products because there is usually refinements to be made. Thank goodness with Updates. While I wait for new detectors , what I have now will suffice. Learn to read through the HYPE. HH Tony

I am just ignoring it, out of my price range.

Definitely out of my retired fixed income range. I'm just grateful for the great
equipment I presently own. It looks like Minelab has improved the build quality over the Equinox and I guess soon after its release some of the new owners will be posting as to the performance of the newly birthed Manticore.
Just the fact guys are already selling off their Equinox stuff has allowed me to be able to purchase some aftermarket equipment for very reasonable prices. Thanks guys.
To all the folks who have taken the plunge and invested I don't think you will be disappointed and I am looking forward to seeing some great finds.

Me too. It has to show more to "blow my dress up" in these vids, to get my $1500 pre-order made.

I would agree Sir! I can't print what my pre-order requirements would be for $1500.

Here's my take. Yes , talk is cheap along with many of these test videos. Get the darn thing out already. When I first bought my Nox 800 "green machine" , I got all the accessories , etc. Ended costing about $1150. This new ML will come automatically with those improvements and I feel will be a much better detector than the Nox. Particularly with the build quality and internal guts. With a vet discount the price will come down to around $1350. So for a couple hundred bucks more than my "old" Nox , big deal.

I've got one ordered. And I'm interested in any information that comes out about it. But not much information has come out so far.

I skip most of the videos and most of the posts. Just skim through looking for actual info, of which there is not that much. Yet.

They'll ship when they ship and when they get here they get here and then I'll have one to mess around with myself. Not expecting anything game changing, but I bet it's noticeably better than the Nox. Looking forward to finding out for myself!

Science WHAT?? Never mind all of that, we’ve got channels to promote and coffees for people to buy us! I wish I could get people to just “send me money” so I could go metal detecting. I guess I’ll just maintain my roost on the lower level of the totem…

You obviously didn't look at the top of the page you are typing on to see the tab "DONATE".

I spent my money on a new bicycle. Hey it's carbon fiber too. I might get out the Equinox this week. It has been about 8 months. I doubt I will ever buy another detector, but I am always eager to read about new releases.

I pre-ordered early. I'm ready to get this thing. Don't care about videos or testers. I want it my hands, not theirs. I'd hope it will do some stuff the Equinox can't. I think that 2D screen will help out some. A tad faster and maybe a bit deeper. My main 800 needs a break. I hope to start next year with a new detector. I need something with a fresh warranty. I have another 800 and a Legend I need to get rid of, but have not got around to it yet.

Obvious Minelab strategy to sell a pig in a poke has worked.

Good luck!

If you don't think they improved the Equinox in 3-4 years well cool I guess. Funny a lot of guys said the same thing about the Equinox and most of them ended up with one. I figure the same thing will happen this time.

If they improved just the water tightness, stock shaft/armcuff it's really all i need as a water hunter. I still love the Equinox better than the Deus ll for smaller gold, deeper TID accuracy. I just can't use it in the water anymore. There is a reason someone had i think it was six Equinox's for water detecting. It was worth the risk under warranty to have a few flooded just because of the finds coming from the water. I'm just waiting to see if the Manticore leaks over about a year. Beach testers don't hunt where i do. If we get some good erosion after this hurricane i'll for sure be using the Equinox a lot.
