Beautiful 1912-D Barber Dime!

Now that's a shiny! Super nice one there, Man! I'm gonna come right out and ask: Are those light scrape marks across the reverse from your digger? Are we just supposed to ignore that? :?: Sorry, Bud, I guess I'm feeling smart-alecky...and maybe a little jeally. :p

Am heading out later today to detect a bit more, so will post full story tonite when back home. Found this beauty yesterday at a Sorority House near the U of M. Definitely "hazardous duty" with all the young college females coming and going!

full liberty!.."outrageous" find!

Thanks Foragist! Hah! No, I don't think I got this one, the marks on the lower reverse are black, like a thin line of discoloration, so I think I escaped from nicking this one!

Congrats , that's a sweet one !

Thanks SoilSurgeon!

Thanks ChrisnAmanda! I am very happy to have dug such a good looking dime! The soil here is gentle to silver, and some of the older Wheaties and Indians do come out nice. Nickels... not so much but I think that is true most everywhere.
