Private residence. And I am actually haven't even detected around the main property or fields. I noticed the woods were extremely clear of undergrowth next to the house so that is where I have been. I believe that was once the original small farm field as all targets are shallow, no undergrowth, flat terrain and soft soil.

Just realized this is a "featured" thread now. Awesome. This is my second "featured" thread in a few months now. Thanks for the interest guys. I know its not a big deal but its cool to me lol.

WOW, what I would give to be able to hunt a place like that!! Good luck brother! And if you need someone to hold your digger I am your man, LOL!!!

huge congrats to you,
its another of the list for sure,
great video,
Dan

Thank you. The filming is new to me so sorry its not the best.

I have gotten 3 more IH's and what may be anther shielded nickel. Eating lunch and going back!

Was out there earlier and got three Indian heads and possibly a shielded nickel. I believe that makes 13 Indians from this site now.

Was on the way to detect with a buddy and had some truck issues so I am walking down to the site to do some night hunting in a few. Cant hold me back lol.

I went back down to the same site and pulled 5 more Indians tonight lol. I only got to cleaning the front to identify. Heading back there in the morning to hit it up with a buddy. Total so far is 18 Indian Heads from this site, 1 Seated dime, 1 two cent piece, 1 toasted large cent, 1 extremely toasted shield nickel and 1 toasted half cent. As I try to clean finds I will photograph and post them.

Below is the 5 from this evening.

Wont be any finds or videos for a few days. Was booted by a cop with an attitude. I will be back on the grounds in a few days with written permission so not a big deal. Funny how one officer waves at me a day ago and smiled and another today has a stick up his a$$.

Two shielded nickels and one Indian was found today by a buddy and I found a skeleton key.

I would be interested in knowing what the site was ... I would be willing to bet it was a picnic grove ..You just don't find numbers of coins like that in a farmfield..And the wide range of dates tells me it was the site of a fairground , campground , or grove.. Couple you elaborate on the police story , is this a private woods? Did a nosey neighbor call on you? Because I can't believe a police could ask you to leave on private land unless the landowner requested it.. But my brother had a neighbor threaten to call the police on him a couple weeks ago , on a yard he was given permission to detect..I guess if that were the case , I would tell them bring it on , and then request harrasement charges be filed with the caller . Keep us posted ! Nice story til the police part of it..lol...hope it has a happy ending

Way to go Jon. You're really striking it!!

You did pretty good there. We thought two nickels but thu ended up being 2 cent pieces. Your oldest and a first.

Tomorrow I will be back at this site. I really wan to find a trime. Wishful thinking I guess.

If anyone is following this thread written permission was acquired a few minutes ago. The hunt resumes! Wish me luck. Happy hunting guys!

I will be posting a pic in a few. 14 IH's however a few are toasted, One more 2 cent and 2 completely toasted shielded nickels. And some buttons. Not bad for 2 hours.

Wow that's an amazing spot you have found and great job cleaning it out. Congrats and great vid.
