And in spite of all that, we both know and agree that if some new better mousetrap is available, then ..... before very long, it will not be a secret. So any "lack of news" to me, is suspect that it is NOT the "cat's meow". Any "lack of news" will not be suspect to mean : "Gee, I guess everyone's staying mum to keep a secret of a better mousetrap".

It's all good , this year could be messed up , depends if they open the beaches , the way things happened gives me time to watch OBN , if the machine does not live up to the hype , endless wait , than I saved money, but now since the tides have changed , I won t be on the front line ready to jump , now instead of spend try & see , it will be watch & see , I hope that it's a good machine , but I'm not going to roll the dice & take a chance this time as I have waited to long , plenty time on hand now to watch. No doubt wise of you SM. My plans to become a key in the early distribution are now under the ugly cloud which shades us all.

I believe in the potential of this machine to make a major contribution to the “arsenal” of top beach hunters - the irony, of course, is that i ain’t one. But that’s just the way it is. I am reasonably knowledgeable about the capabilities and limitations of PI machines and my enthusiasm for this machine will survive whatever (assuming I do!).

Look's like the beaches are gonna be closed for a while , anyway spent 95k on a boat , so no extra cash wright now, i be interested more seeing video's of you with the Nugget AQ with nugget's coming out of the ground, - when it get's out , whatever year they bring it :lol: , plenty machines to use when the beaches open, the month of April breaking out the dirt -CTX and Deus , that and fishing will give me something to do along with riding my motorcycles , happy hunting , Earl
 
Peace, Earl and keep safe. Get out on that boat - far away from your acquaintances - with lots of provisions, bait and whatever till this blows over.

I have seen two wars - participant (un-heroicly) in one - as a target in Riyadh in another - a couple of Cholera epidemics, an encephalitis outbreak and one of Dengue fever - but none of that got my attention like this plague. A “novel” virus. That means no human has ever had it before - what fun for the virus. Ouch.
 
Its always interesting Tom to see the responses and videos done on a NEW machine...... especially a niche machine with say only 100 machines initially. The news one way or another dont spread nearly as fast as say an inexpensive multi use machine with a great warranty. BUT.... this is still a must have IMO. Any machine that can match an Eric Foster machine .... with some upgrades, which we dont see sell very often can be a must have..... especially on a limited run. But im not nieve enough to believe other companies arent working on a BETTER MOUSE TRAP too. If they leak it out before we see these machines what then? We already know its competing with the Nox at 1/3 of the price and like a years less warranty.

Ok, sure. Now we're talking about "speed of news travel". Right ? NOT THE MERITS OF whether-or-not it was or wasn't actually a better-mousetrap. Right ?

Ok, fine then : Be aware that this "card" can be played into infinity : No matter *how* much time-goes-by, where nothing is forthcoming (no one rushes to match-their-buddies), the same "card" can be played. That : The news simply hasn't traveled enough. Eh ?

At *what* point does anyone ever sit down and admit : Gee, maybe it's not a better mousetrap ?
 
Thats a decision people will make for themselves. You know as well as i do.....people hunt differently and gauge what the machine is worth to them based on how well it compares to their other top notch machine. I personally have a rule not to sell a machine until its at least paid for its self. By then i have a pretty good understanding of what it can and cant do for me. Its those EXPERTS who use it a couple of times and discard it that i dont pay a lot of attention to.

Please stop... this AQ is not available so we use what works and I got news for you the AQ will not make other pulse machines obsolete...

You hunt the desert... let us decide for ourselves please.
 
Why are there no real comparison videos on this machine? I see the one posted recently has him digging a beach with some black looking sand but no real depth. Why not burry some average sized gold rings to a depth of say 15-17 inches and show what it can do and how the discrimination works at depth? Then do some in water testing on some chains and small rings? Even the videos themselves seem to be pure speculation. I mean one I saw and the guy was just missing the target every time, was probably on the sidewall and fell in the hole. Further more the beaches I hunt that do have iron, have a LOT of iron. How will this machine cope with a blanket of iron and a few good targets in between? If the machine was so great, would we not be amped up to put out a decent video showing every detail of how fabulous it actually is? I have not seen such a video, only vagueness

I have to agree that the videos I have seen have not impressed me all that much. Even the one with all those nice gold rings found on that Normandy (?) beach seemed a bit suspect to me. If it was legit I agree that plenty of other detectors could have probably found them.
I was really looking forward to the AQ but I think I am feeling a bit like Earl at this point- wait and get the real feedback from other hunters on this forum before making a decision.

Agree, i have yet to see any impressive video's , nothing that my other machine's can't detect, my DF look's deeper, they said it loose's 10% when using disc, i would rather dig all- deep, the depth test, was i guess- the air test :lol: my equinox air test's better , the reason maybe that we havn't seen any real time depth test's make's me wonder :roll: , anyway it was a very disapointing venture waiting , than nothing, than- ONLY 100 :laughing: to WHO- UK, than F, closes down , anyway from all this time waiting on a fantasy machine that never made it in my hand's , after over 1000 post's, over 57 thousand view's, keeping close tab's on the AQ, i believe like Craig, Kob said, enough. Time's , tide's , reality , has all changed now, they rolled the dice , and C------- out in my :imo::ohwell: I guess when i have some extra cash ML is up to bat next , atleast waiting for the Nox happened :realitycheck:
 
If you are tired of reading about it.... then don’t. There’s been a lot of debate, speculation, and opinions which is what I thought these threads were about. I’ve not seen a lot of people bashing or any rule breaking.

Could put in more work and show discrimination working ect. Instead we get these vague montages. Matter of fact, I would like to know how the Aq will do on an 18inch nickel compared to the tdi pro.

All of us md'rs love md'ing videos, eh ? It's a part of our DNA to show & tell, and it's the reason God invented the internet and digital cameras after all, eh ? :roll: That's why God invented Youtube for, right ? :wow:

Thus yes, we all make and tune into youtube videos showing our toys, trophies, etc.... Fun fun fun !

But when it comes to this Fisher Impulses AQ thread, I have this to offer, as-for-how it concerns resolving the dispute :

Haven't you noticed various videos , of machine-tech, that seemingly show AMAZING FEATS for various machines. We've seen these type videos coming from off-the-wall brands out of Europe in recent years (particularly former-soviet countries, for some reason). But stop and think : I'll bet that if you set me up with a Minelab GPX, or GPZ machine, that I could likewise make ASTOUNDING videos of how you can effortlessly find a quarter to nearly 2 ft. deep. Right ? And it would be hard to argue with the video evidence . Right ? The worked out parks will 'come alive again', right ?

But as you know, the devil would be in the details. You would last only 1 minute, in the average beach, park or ghost town with those nugget machines. You would quickly ditch it and reach for your standard discriminator. Right ?

And so too can the same be said for machines that can be said to "see through iron". I can make an astounding video with a 77b, showing the ability to effortlessly see through 3 or 4 nails to get a coin (yet nulling if it were just nails solo). But the devil will be in the details, and you will find wimpy depth, poor ability in minerals, a bear to keep-balanced in actual field conditions, no other form of TID, etc.....

And in each case, YES there's a time and place for a 77b, a GPX and a GPZ. But just saying : Be careful about astounding videos.

True videos don't show everything , can be edited, doctored up , however everyone's case is different , in my case I was 100 % all in . , just like the Equinox , waited , waited , herd the AQ was in production , than issues, than back in production , than only 100 machines , not a peep from the manufacturer , zero updates , except guessing from this thread , having hope, than never happened, no bad feelings here, just disapointment , now they are closed down, the beaches are closed here , cash in pocket just got deeper, not blaming anyone here , just my story, in my case I will wait to see , if the machine , whenever it gets here to prove itself , before I spend the money , in videos you do get SOME idea, but nothing solid, the real test is trial by experienced hunter's I know & trust , I even had a set of headphones put aside just for this machine without the end on it , until further notice , these head phones could be used on another machine , I hope things get back to like it used to be , but for now I'll kick back , happy hunting , Earl
