They say they are all sold out :jawdrop: and yet you can not even find a picture of one? Anyone have any idea of whats up:?:

Right now anyway, it all appears to be an extended April Fools joke perpetrated by someone........not Garrett.

I went to the garrett forum and got the same run around .Forum also said they were all sold out :hmmm:How ever did get a peek at one looks like the at pro and its green.

It would be really nice if Garrett really stepped up and offered a really good SMF detector to compete with XP2 or Minelabs multiple SMF detectors. I mean a real game changer type of detector. But I am thinking we are bumping up to the limits of physics in metal detectors and the only thing they can do is offer many more features which makes modern metal detectors much harder to learn correctly and much easier to find yourself using screwed up wrong settings and thus a greatly detuned metal detector. It was kind of hard to go wrong with an AT Pro but very easy to go wrong with the more complex 800.

If this is an accurate photo, it looks like the Axiom had a baby with an Apex...

Dont know about that color scheme but if it comes out in the Axiom control housing and competes with the Manticore or even the Nox 900 I will purchase one

I have the Axiom and it is probably the most ergonomically comfortable detector I have ever swung, and the battery last for ever 16 Hours run time on the Axiom.

That green color in the photo looks to close to the Mine Lab Xterra pros color scheme for my liking LOL

my only issue with the Axiom is those stupid blunt nosed coils that Garrett produced for the Axiom and the limited amount of coils for the Axiom otherwise I am happy with the Axiom

Better depth from toe to heel . sube

My Axiom weighs 4.3 lbs. Do you really want to swing a 4+lbs VLF? That photo is a joke.
IMO, heavy is ok as long as it's balanced correctly. I have more arm fatigue swinging an equinox than a minelab explorer, and the equinox is probably half the weight. I have never used an Axiom, but from I have heard they are pretty well balanced. So someone is playing with photoshop, why am I not surprised?

Yep, CTX3030 weighing in at 5.2 lbs proved too much for me. Other than that loved the CTX. Went to the very light XP2 with 9" coil. Perfect for my type of hunting. CW, coins and totlots and volleyball courts and sometimes old home sites.

I for one am very interested, and will buy one if it is in any way in the Manticore/D2 league.

So, in the absence of information, I find it interesting to speculate on some features that I can glean from the picture. First of all, I see that the cable doesn't seem to screw into the coil, which would seem to indicate a potential to be waterproof at depth. I also don't see the cable wrapped around the shaft, which makes me wonder if it's traveling up the shaft (I don't own an axiom (no gold fields nearby), but the pictures I've seen have the cable wrapped around the outside of the shaft). Also, it appears that the cable going to the control unit is coming out of the handle. The battery/arm-rest section looks identical to the Axiom, but the charging port seems to have a plug in it (can't quite see from the picture). All this suggests that they're potentially designing this for underwater as well as land use. Maybe that's why the discontinued their Sea Hunter....? Yes, I know it's all speculation, but that's all we have to go by until Garrett starts talking....

I hope it's a great detector, but I'm going to let other people be the guinea pigs on this one. I've got 3 detectors right now and I never turn 2 of them on as it is.

Too funny! That photo was pulled out of a Russian fake video. I hardly doubt that Garrett will go back to the color green, and I doubt they would send a copy of the new detector to the Russians.

Why not? You have the green detector with the orange pinpointer, it could be the ultimate carrot set up

Now, if the next detector that Garrett is about to release is pulse induction, putting it in a waterproofed version of the Axiom makes sense. The Axiom form factor and ergonomics are outstanding for a PI, but they are not outstanding for a VLF......
