Yesterday i got a little detecting in but my headphones suddenly would not cut the signal to the speaker so i detected without headphones. Today i paid a little more attention and it looks like something is missing. I know the cord has caught in the past and may have stressed the jack. If part of it is missing, anybody know where to buy the part? I could install it in an hour versus waiting how many ever weeks to send it off and get it back. I'm past one year so probably out of warranty.

I don't see anything missing as long as there are two brass tabs facing each other inside the receptacle. I can clearly see one of them in your photo.

If you have been using the wired headphones supplied by Minelab........they have had many problems with the wires breaking just outside the plug. Have you tried any other wired headphones.

The control pod has a 3 year warranty. Those wired headphones from Minelab, I have no clue.

Looks complete to my eyes. Here's a couple of pictures of my jack - mine's an EQ800, but the headphone jack is identical to yours.

i guess my headphone plug has suddenly become incompatible. Some random headphones work fine. thanks for the help!

I have managed to incapacitate two pairs of the stock Minelab wired headphones that come with the 600 and I hardly ever used them except for testing. If you got some hunt time with yours you are fortunate and lucky they lasted that long.
