Fun thread idea, @Teenage Geezer, and I like the vista in your first picture. I love nature photos, so thanks everyone for sharing your spectacular shots! (@cellrdwellr - Jeff, your sunset over the water is great; and @Reelfoot Relics, yours is, too!)

Photography is one of my amateur pursuits... I simply use my smartphone, and I apply only minimal edits because I like it when my images are true to life. And for me, photography is a way to share little verses of encouragement. So, here are a couple that I have....

The first was taken off the fishing pier at a local lake.

And the second was taken in April. The day was lovely, with the promise of spring in the air, and journaling beside the creek was blissful. I actually posted about that trip here on the forum later that day (link to post in case you're interested ;) ).

Thanks for letting me share these with y'all! Hope you've enjoyed these photos as much as I have enjoyed yours! šŸ˜ƒ

Same. Camera and edit-wise.

The shooting star looking thing is the SpaceX rocket, photographed from my front yard.

Sunrise November 4th from my bedroom windowView attachment 587217
What a captivating display! Awaking to a colorful sunrise is such a beautiful beginning to a new day.
Taken at Weiss Lake in Alabama about a week ago. Went there to get a good shot for my FB cover photo and this is what I ended up with.

ULTRA-1-LARGE.jpg
This shot reminds me of the pictures my brother snaps of his Civic SI (@Wolf-Dog). I like the position of the sun on the lefthand side, and the rocky shoreline.

Very nice Dave. BTW, what are those beehive rock mound structures?

Those are charcoal kilns. Used to make charcoal, which was then used to fuel boilers and furnaces and such to support mining and milling activities in the area.

You are more than welcome. History and prehistory in the area I live have been hobbies since childhood. Goes really well with metal detecting.

This one is same camp site (bivouac would be more accurate than camp site) yesterday morning. Written history on this site is vague, but I think this might have been the Post Office.
