Yet another silly season of "The Curse of Oak Island" coming up!

..... People have been digging up the island for almost 175 years trying to find treasure.

Sure. And this doesn't mean that there's not a "fabulous treasure" there. It merely means that it's a 1) Little more to the right, or 2) A little more to the left, or 3) A little deeper.

But AT NO POINT is there not a fabulous treasure. Ok ?

Actually I think they got the wrong island... In 175 years it seems like the entire island would have been dug up. Heck, in that time the entire island may have moved from digging up the shore on the north and dumping it on the south... a walking island?

Re.: the issue of "plant" (for sake of Hollywood hype / ratings) vs not-plant : I'm not so sure they need to worry about 'planting' IN THE FIRST PLACE ! And here's why : Because if you go to any location in the USA, where people have lived & worked for the last 200+ yrs., I guarantee you that you will find : 1) nails, 2) rotted wood, 3) a button.

Heck, I bet if I detected my backyard long enough, here in Monterey, CA, that in that .75 acre backyard that I would eventually find (gasp) a nail, a rotting piece of wood, and a button. Say it isn't so, eh ? Therefore, shucks, I ought to the start the legend of a treasure in my backyard then !! Quick, call the news crews !!
I'm on the East Coast like Oak Island, and as Tom says, even in my backyard, I find old flat buttons, square hand forged nails a foundation of some building that never appeared on any of the property maps. Big mysterious, I must have a fabulous treasure on my property too!

welp. here goes muh 2 cents. not wheaties or anything cool either cause apparently we havent found em yet on this property we live🤦‍♂️🤣. but for what its worth my little girl got her first interest in metal dectecting and relics treasures etc from this overly dramatized corny show. so. perhaps isnt all bad? 👀

also disclaimer havent seen last few seasons. cause sat TV bill went up an exorbitant amount and the internet options out here suck so no history channel. lol.

Could it be? A wheatie lost by Al Capone! It's not pirate treasure, the Holy Grail or the Ark of the Covenant, it's Al Capone's lost vault! Alert the media and call Geraldo Rivera!

Also, don't you know that the Knights Templars are still around. The notion that it was dissolved by the church in 1309 has been disputed. There are conspiracy theories that they simply went underground, and still exists to this day. Therefore : The wheatie on Oak Island COULD INDEED have been lost by a Knights Templar member !! Gasp !

There is obviously no treasure on Oak Island. Gary Drayton would have found it in 20 minutes with his 30/30.

Nope. Gary Drayton missed it by : "A little more to the left", and "A little more to the right" and "A little deeper than his 30/30 would go". But at NO POINT is there not a fabulous treasure on Oak Island. Ok ? :impatient:

I really just watch the show to watch the digging anymore. I love watching machines and such. But episode one was classic oak Island with the expert telling them they absolutely have Roman coins, while not being able to name it show an example of which one it is.

Alright you guys, I tried to stay away from this show after watching a few earlier episodes. I just turned on the latest episode, it still seems they have more money than brains. 11 years running, still nothing. "OH MY GOD A WOOD SAMPLE. WE FOUND TWO COINS. THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING THERE. IT'S ROUND MUST BE A KNIGHTS TEMPLAR RELIC, LET'S DIG ANOTHER 1000 FOOT HOLE." Good for them and their efforts. I'm digging clad and am having more fun than these guys. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
