I got a little too excited when I pulled this out of the ground. Found this at about 4 inches deep in my front yard. I live in Apopka, Florida so that is a very strange find around here. I did some research and I found out it is a 1936 model and was worn by cadet pilots as shown here: http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/milit...4783t-soviet-belt-buckles-ww2-post-img076.jpg I personally think this is a very cool find and its in very good condition. If someone could give me some more information on this buckle I would really appreciate it.

Check the land deed records

I would not be surprised if you checked the land deed records at the courthouse, and found some slavic names.
The belt plate also looks very similar to more modern Soviet plates -are you sure it's the 1936 model?
I am guessing you have seen the web page:

You need to really look over the stamping of the hammer/sickle to match it up with a super-rare pre-war buckle. I have a Soviet Belt I picked up at "Checkpoint Charlie" in Berlin back in the 80's, and the buckle is very similar to those pictured, but it's an 1980's production. I traded some cans of Mountain Dew for the buckle. Russkis like Mountain Dew.
