I was discussing this ring ( that I found last Winter) with Craig today and he said that it wasn't a real ruby. I asked him if he was certain and he assured me that he was positive. In fact, he said he was so positive that it wasn't real he would eat a can of dog food ( Mighty Bite ) if it was real and let me video it.

So ,knowing that all of you would enjoy seeing that video I will be taking the ring down to have it authenticated.

And do you get to eat the doggie chow if the stone's synthetic? After all, fair's fair...

The beautiful part is that I don't have to eat anything, it was him that made the offer. I thought to myself at the time, it must be real and he just wants an excuse to eat a can of dog food.

I don't think I'd want to try the wet canned food, that's pretty nasty... but I used to work with a girl who fed her dog this sausage-looking dog food. It smelled really good and she dared me to try it. I ate a bite and it tasted pretty good.

Beggin' Strips smell a lot like bacon, but they do not taste nearly as good... I can tell you that from first hand experience. If you want to try some dog food, my recommendation is the sausage-looking stuff.

Well I have found a few rings with a huge red ruby and ALL have been synthetic or glass. It is a beautiful ring for sure BUT I am inclined to agree with Craig. It isn't a real stone. Beautiful gold ring though!!
