Had about 4-5hrs digging this weekend....and some great finds came home with me.

Dug an 1882 IH, 1884 V-Nickle, sterling silver ring without stones and other jewelry type items...cool brass bell, tack nail with a '33' on it..and...

What I though was my first Civil War buckle...has ALA on it...seems to be plated silver with two small holes in each side for attaching it to something.. any ideas?????

All in all a great time! Thanks for looking and HH,
Hank

nice finds

Hank, that ALA looks like an automobile legal association plaque from way back before they had invented stick-on cheapo-bumper stickers. My uncle used to have that on the back of the "Nash". Don't know if they are still in business, maybe merged with triple A. You find some nice goodies up that way maybe a get together may come about in Oct. Let you know Gil

Neat assortment of finds Hank. A little of this and a little of that but all nice and old.
