The previous two days here in upstate NY were very nice and a buddy and I were able to hit a few spots.
We started at an old fairground we have hunted numerous times and have pulled about 50 silvers in those hunts. But lately we have hunted here for 3 or 4 hours at a time without finding a single coin. So I was surprised by a fantastic 27-28 signal on the Nox. Solid all the way around. Out pops the Barber Dime. YEAH! About 2 1/2 hours later I get a choppy high tone and end up with the Washington Quarter. It was between 9 and 10 inches down. Four hours and only two coins, but both silver.
Later at another site I managed a Rosie along with alot of trash.
The next day we visited a fairground about 40 miles away that we had never hunted. Not many coins here but I did pull two Mercs.
I ended up with 5 silvers in about 8 hours of hunting in beautiful February weather.
