New years day hunt. Kill Cavalry it is. These are from the 6th Michigan under Custer. Gettysburg retreat.

Wow, great finds. I for the first time ever I believe , went civil war detecting yesterday and never found the first bullet. I found several melted lead but no complete bullet. You found some great ones though and congratulations on all of them.

Good stuff.

I love finding Cavalry relics, especially from Custer's campaigns. I live 4 miles from Fort Dodge where Custer was stationed for a while, and home to mostly Cavalry units.
