I was metal detecting a dried-up creek this morning and found this tooth. I went to retrieve a target (ended up being scrap) in some gravel and this tooth was about 6 inches deep. This was found in southwest Pennsylvania and the closest farm to where I found this is about a mile upstream. I have no idea if this is fossilized or not. My assumption is probably a cow or horse tooth. Thoughts?
