Returning from a detection trip and walking along a country path, I see this token with the naked eye. It is what they call "an eyesball find" It's incredible how sight can be trained to distinguish objects of certain shapes camouflaged in the dirt .

Interesting find, Rammjäger! I suspect it is related to Mattel's Barbie dolls. I haven't been able to track down the token yet, but the silhouette appears to be trademarked (see first image below). Is the token metal or plastic? Approximate size?

Edit to add: It looks like the Barbie silhouette is rather modern...introduced in 1999: Barbie Logo History

Thank you AirmetTango for investigating this token. Unfortunately it is a plastic token. I was fooled by the color and patina and thought it was bronze. I did a test with the detector and that's when I realized it wasn't metal.
