I had got Silver the last four weekends but this weekend did not produce.... :(
I hit several spots and even went out late afternoon for a final push to get a silver but no luck.
I did manage:
A 55 wheatie (not DD :p )
A 1915 wheatie
A 1965 Mexican Centavo
A Snake pin
and A Burchoil car wash token in really good condition.
The token on one side says "United States of America, Libery" and Im like what kind of coin is this, until I turned it over I was thinking it was some kind of US coin.

Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the wheats and the cool token. Sorry to hear your silver streak ended, well it hasn't ended, its just on hold for a bit. Mine is currently at 4 in a row, I hope it holds. Good luck, Mark

Nice!!! Congrats!!! Silver will show up soon!!

Sorry Nick your Silver streak ended but looking forward there is the next streak coming. Most important is you got out for the hunt and that's what its all about. Its the idea of the next dig, the adventure of a treasure being found. Something as rare as man can believe in. Reality is it may only be a pop tab, or bottle cap or even a roasted Zincoln. The challenge of the hobby. Trapper

The next day I was able to snag a merc and today I got another barber dime so I guess the streak is kinda continuing..... :D

Thanks Jack&Jill

Sorry to hear that your streak got interrupted, Baja, but I’m glad to hear you’ve got a new one underway! Nice hunt regardless…I’m a sucker for tokens, so anytime one of those shows up, I get jazzed! But yeah, I gotta admit, stamping an Eagle, “Liberty”, and “United States of America” on there is a pretty rotten trick!! Anyways, that one’s a long way from home - Burch Oil is a family owned business local only to Southern Maryland. They started out with home heating oil 90+ years ago, then branched out to gas stations, then convenience stores, then car washes. Here’s a link to an article about them in their county magazine from a few years ago (the link opens the magazine to the article, but if you flip all the way back to the beginning, the family is on the cover standing in front of one of their trucks with the same logo from the token):

And the token on tokencatalog.com:

The Mexican 5 Centavos coin is cool, too. I just don’t get very many foreign coins, so it’s always a fun change of pace when one shows up regardless of how old

I did look up the Token online and I got as far as it being from Maryland.

Thanks for the links and historical info Airmet.
