A little over two hours of hunting this PM started out fine with a westerly breeze, but an hour or so into the water hunt and I noticed the wind increase and start blowing out of the southeast creating just enough swell and waves to cause me stability problems!

Just before things turned sour I dug a faint signal that I have learned to investigate for the possibility of gold and this pair dropped into my sifter!

The coin is etched so thin it can be bent between my fingers and the tiny cross is the smallest I have ever found! (Notice the mineral/oxide still clinging to the bottom edge of the coin.)

The cross on the left is an inch high for comparison.

Look closely and you can just make out Lincoln's outline!

I likes gold even tiny gold!!
