Was out in the garden fooling with settings for deeper targets, pushed the shovel into the ground and it gave way to a cavity filled with fluffy soil, something we dont have in this yard, just cracked hard clay, I thought it was interesting but ignored it, while fishing in the hole with my hand out comes what fist looked like a large worm, but soon relised it was a snake! Yikes! After I stopped getting that creepy crawling feel I put him in a jar for a photo to share, he/she goes back where I found it, because they like slugs

This is an Eastern worm snake, it has a sharp tail that feels like a sting on softer skin. Pic below.
Anybody have something crawl out of their dig holes?
