It didn't cost you anything to enter the contest and you have no idea what's going on in his life, so why not back off until you find out the truth, instead of assuming

Agreed.
 
We know that he actually exists because several of us have spoken to him on the phone.
We know he runs an actual MD business because at least one person here has transacted business with him.
We know that the owners/management of this site are still allowing him to run an ad as a sponsor here, therefore he must be in contact with them in some form.

(Perhaps we need confirmation on that last item from Carol.)
 
I'm sure the guy is legit. He even called me back when I wasn't the first caller on one of his other contests. I just hope everything is ok with him and nothing seriously bad happened.

You don't ask people to like you Facebook page or follow your Twitter unless you post stuff on these pages. I haven't seen a single post from him yet. I am sorry if I am wrong and apologize to him ahead of time, but someone somewhere has to know something. I know I personally didn't lose anything. But when a person receives a broken pinpointed in a contest and another is waiting on a metal detector then something is up. This latest prize package is too good to be true, lets face it, we were all duped into belting that we really had a shot at winning...

The website is behind three weeks, right. Then this info should be as an update on Facebook or Twitter, these 2 site don't have anything to do with the website and it only takes less than 5 minutes to post an update. You don't get involved with these sites unless yo post something. Just like this site, you don't advance your status unless you post. Like I said before, I will be the first to say I'm sorry, but learning from a lot of stupid mistakes in a lifetime, I lose my faith in a contest that is way to good to be true...and a very expensive prize to award...

His twitter has no activity.
His business facebook has no activity.
His personal facebook has no activity.
FMDF shows he hasn't logged on since the 13th.
He's not answering his personal phone.
He's not responding to text.
He's not responding to e-mails to his business e-mail address.
He's not responding to e-mails to his personal e-mail address.

And your first thought it is, "he's fake and lying to us"?

I have to edit my post and restrain myself. Because honestly, if I posted what I'm thinking right now, it would be edited by a mod, and I'd probably get in trouble.

Don't all contests have to be approved by a moderator? Hopefully they didn't get conned into thinking this was legit. Who knows what is going on. I'd contact someone higher up in regards to this if people don't get what is owed to them.
 
My personal opinion doesn't count for much, but I'm giving the guy the benefit of the doubt until I am proven wrong. I don't think this was done to fool anyone, or play a cruel trick. Maybe his business financing fell through or something. If anything I think this falls along the lines of "Best Intentions".

Actually, you never HAVE to show a profit for any year of a business. You just have to make sure you can justify your financials. You can deduct/write off whatever you can legitimately.

This is the key to whats happening here imo. There is a strong chance that something may have happened to him, some dumb contest means nothing when someone may be hurt or worse. If the contest is fake what have any of us lost here? the 5 seconds it took to like his page.

I hope everything is OK with him!
