Tom, I had to show a negative test to get in to the US, as he will when he returns. I had the antigen test, the swab up the nose until it feels like it hits your brain, not overly fun but not as bad as I had imagined it.
Yes, some fools are trying to use fake vaccination cards, but be warned, the fines are steep. Canada caught two Americans going in a week or so ago with fake cards and fined them $16,000 each...

I also doubt anyone wants to control or restrict everyone.. although due to the lockdowns and restrictions money velocity is at a record low. Any idea what the inflation rate would be in the US if the money velocity was anywhere near normal? Think Venezuela.

Im also pretty sure his doctor had no idea he was hopping in and out of cold water, hauling gear and driving around the state from dusk to dawn.

I guess he felt healthy enough but his immune system was weakened even if he couldn't feel it.

For the shot in my part of Asia, not sure if its the same in the US, but I had to fill out a few forms, scan some codes... If I had certain medical conditions they wouldn't give me the shot. Heart condition, blood pressure, etc etc... I'm pretty sure open heart surgery would have fallen into that category.

There are nuts everywhere. I haven't seen any conspiracy theories on here that I can think of. Right around 1.8% on the chart = apprx. 35% inflation in the current financial environment.

I was planning on Cannes, but now I see they pumped sand in a few years ago.

I "Ain't" leaving the Riviera until I get gold! I have all the time in the world, BUT, the real weak link is if my wife gets bored.

A little story about Cannes:

My friend and I were there about 10-15 years ago. Hunted for 6 or so hours and were heading back to our car. We saw 2 hunters just heading towards the water. I wanted to talk to them so I hollered out to them. Later they said they pretended not to hear us but thought we were the police so they stopped. They were from the UK and told us of things they had found. 3 ct diamond ring, 1973 NFL Super Bowl ring etc. After they departed for the water my friend said lets go to the upper deck and watch them. I remember 2 things: They had pulse detectors and arms the size of my legs. They were animals.

When the vaccine became available, I jumped on board, Feb 5 of this year.
Why? I balanced the risks between getting the virus and the chances of the vaccine hurting me. I believe in our medical community.

I did run into an interesting tidbit the other day. There was a covid virus found in early 2019 that is 98% identical to the covid19. Now, 98% isn't that close (think monkeys/humans) but it is the closest match found in nature.
The original virus infected 6 people. 3 of which died. That's a 50% death rate. It was found in the wild bat population.. Which means it was only a matter of time until it spreads through the bat population and eventually through humans.... at a 50% death rate.
The current covid19 has a death rate of %0.05-%0.01 and emerged a few months after the deadlier original virus had been found.

As for vaccines designed to spy on you or track you ... That person must think they are very important for others to go to such trouble.

The original covid is still popping up occasionally in the wild bat population (the same general area and hasn't spread to other neigboring colonies or species). There also hasn't been any other human infections of this covid... at least not publicly.

I was thinking, if someone calls you and tells you that a friend just died, 90% of people will ask "how did he die?"

So I think there is more to this than my first thoughts.

We do learn from others triumphs and failures.

I was first in line talking about how Bob was such a go getter and maybe the most dedicated hunter in the good old USA.

I think part of the reason to bring up Bob is that he is not a statistic but a real person that we all new.

So, I will think a little more about this.

yes but all the comments (not just you making these so sorry to single you out)either relate to you should get vax because he died, or that it wouldn't matter of the vax because of his health problems. None of you are doctors. the only people who should give advice about the vaccine one way or another are doctors and specialists. Using his name to try and "strike home" with people is just wrong.

Sadly what is really scary is attitudes like my next door neighbors. They are fully vaccinated and want to live life. They hang out at the VFW and at clubs every night watching their son perform in front of hundreds of people. Who they also dance with. So a couple days ago before they go to leave they go into detail about how bad they feel and describe how they have most covid symptoms. As they pull out of the driveway to go party i whisper " Super spreaders!" Stay safe Chuck!
