I'd call some jewelry stores, one of them has to have an engraving machine. A college, university, or tech school might have a CNC router.
So I could buy the silver bar seperate and have it engraved at a jewlry store? Thats a good idea! haha
Silly me for nothing thinking of that...
Not much a a jewelry store guy, doubt you'd get a good price for the silver at one... Not sure if anyone does engraving by hand anymore, machines have been around quite a while, that hook up to most any computer. Always wanted one for cutting traces for circuit boards, just not a big enough work area.
I just really want something original to give my fiance that she can remember
Then just bring your own bar to 'Things Remembered.'
My wife is a professional jeweler and engraved a lot of silver/gold rounds, bars, and other things for custom jewelry pieces. Women seem to love small .5 oz bars set into a bezel and engraved as a love token. She sells ALOT OF THEM
