Relic hunting seems to be easy enough. Read about 24 inches worth of documents. Find an area with major troop movements. Comb 1850's and 60's maps until you find the troop's water source. Go there. Swing the detector and bing, bang, boom, relics pop right out of the ground. Simple enough.

Grabbed my diggin partner.............

And what did I score ?

Two ticks, a nasty spider bite, and a 1964 nickel !

If it was that easy everyone would be doing it.
Looks like you have a great digging partner, Don't forget to check him for ticks also.

Capt, sorry for the odd sense of humor. I was being sarchastic. I know how hard the relic hunters work for their spots.

I spent the last weeks researching this one. I know stuff is there. It's just a whole lotta mountain.

Jax is a gun dog. He spends significant time out in the field so he gets checked every time we return home. He is a burr and sticker magnet !

Really beautiful place to strike out this time, but like you say it's a big mountain and there's a lot of space to cover, and best of all, you know it's there so keep swinging.
