hi everyone!

i'm officially starting to feel like a bum:( .no work again today

so,i'm sittin here thinkin where can i go today?then i remembered this church i searched about 6 yrs ago not far away.called the church spoke with a new pastor and he gave me the green light.i pulled some silver outta here last time so i wasn't figuring on pullin anymore cuz i thought i cleaned the place out.well,i think my eagle spectrum is a little better than my silver eagle or maybe i improved as an detectorist but, what a nice day it turned out to be! :spin:

2 -silver mercs.1 -1924 buffalo.a gaming token that reads king waldorfs palace.a nice older silver band marked sterling and a gold wedding band marked 10 kt.12 wheaties and a whole lot of clad! and of course my once a hunt religous medal.i know GOD..i'm gonna get to church103 coins total today just in this grass area.tons of copper nails that read as penny/dime close to the building from a roofing job apparently.i'll be heading back for sure!

happy hunting everyone!

Maybe the pastor could give you a little history on the church. Like when it was built, any summer socials, picnics, etc.

I'm thinking there are even older coins there then what you are finding.

the cornerstone says it was erected in 1925.the pastor is new there.he was really nice though.i know they held baazars in the yard awhile ago.not much lawn area here but i imagine its been a congregating area for years after services.

good haul

and some gold to boot , hey if i could detect full time i'd do it . enjoy it while you can Dave , congrats on the finds . Dan

Dave - that is a nice looking church. You did good by going back! I often think the same thing about a place being hunted out and when I have returned I have found new stuff AND stuff that I missed. I guess nobody swings a coil perfectly and covers the ground perfectly so there are always gaps that are overlooked with each and every hunt.

Great looking old Church! WTG on the silver and gold and I hope there is a lot more to be had for you there.

Dave ,that looks like a nice spot.........killer finds . I guess nobody tried to run you off , It reminds me of a spot I got chased off one time

Dave,

Your awesome finds never fail to amaze me! You seem to find so much, ALL the time, and I always enjoy seeing all the photos!

Way to go!!!

Glad to see your efforts are paying off for you. Those finds don't just jump out of the ground. It takes dedication and WORK. You certainly earned every one. Congratulations!!!
