Notification of PM arrivals ?

I just found out that I had several PM's sitting unanswered and didn't know they were there (RED number on the envelope icon).

I was under the (mistaken?) impression that the forum notifies you by email if a PM arrives for you. Is that something that worked in the old forum format?

Or is there a way to set up an 'active' notification of a new PM, versus a 'passive" check the envelope icon every day ?

Jim, Under Preferences in your Profile there are boxes you can check to receive various notifications. Conversations, was PMs, is one you can have Emil notification of.
