I would like a chance to introduce myself .I am Monte _pollock which is the name I use on my Ebay account no secrets among Honest people.
Male 42 years old and I grew up reading the books written by Charles Garrett.I started detecting at about 15 years old,but have beeen in out of the hobby since then, but now disabled I am able to devote much more time.
I,ve lived in Kansas and missouri all my life am now settled in Lockwood ,Missouri.
Haven,t found a lot of valuables but to Me the value is finding say a watch fob and seeing the look on others faces as they say"I worked for that company"or Even"I remember..".
WE as detectorists uncover and preserve the secrets of the past that is Being destroyed by the ravages of time, and developement.
It angers me when Outsiders call us TReasure Hunters because that brings to mind people breaking into tombs, and selling to high bidder when such items belong in a museum for all to enjoy.Every find I make is recorded with location and history of the site ,so that it still has a meaning to future generations, not just an anonymous Mini ball in a button jar. With that out of the way i would like to meet others in this area for metal detecting expeditions, etc.
Thanks for inclusion in this site and H.H to all,Mont
