I am new here to the forums, new to the hobby, and new to cleveland; but I am excited to get out there and start detecting. I just have to figure some good places to go.

Is anyone on here located in Cleveland or the surrounding areas?

If I was new in Cleveland, I'd be hunting curbstrips for old silver in Lakewood/Willoughby...I'd be working the beaches clear out to Ashtabula...especially Geneva...

...if you're looking to score some clad, I suggest that you find out where Roverfest is going to be held this year and hit it after they do their cleanup. Nothing but drunk and stoned people at that event every year.

No need to work your way to ashtabula lol I live here and the beaches are horribly trashy. A few parks around here have given up some silver dimes, quarters, and rings but it's tough sledding.
