Welcome from North Atlanta. There are some good areas west of Kennesaw mtn and around Dallas, GA for CW relics. The trick is to find some property near some CW camps, routes or battles that you can get permission to hunt on or some city or county property which is pretty much open season if it is not a park or groomed area.
If you have some spare time do research on CW battles in your area. I hunt mostly along Peachtree creek in Atlanta where there was probably the largest battle for Atlanta. But tricky finding places you can hunt in that area.
