Took my son out to a new site today....1700's foundation on the site along with a house built in 1810.

Lot's of targets...we were out straight for 2 1/2hrs! Here's some of the take....some great buttons, a 1935 dog liscense, and a coin dated 1761.

I believe the coin to be from France, but don't know for sure...any help would be deeply appreciated! The reverse looks to have a shield an crown.

Thanks for looking and HH,
Hank

I'm in Southern New Hampshire....lots of Colonial Relics and coins to be found.

Thanks for looking and HH,
Hank

nice finds

XLT, you are in "Fitz" if I recollect. I am in Florida, but lived in Rindge for many years before I retired. You are right about the old stuff laying around in that area. I used to find a lot of older pennies and silver in those towns. A lot of history there. I will be in that area (Peterboro) some time in Oct. Maybe we can meet up one day while I am there....In the meantime, HH.....Gil

Just found out the coin is from the Netherlands...WOW! The history we could learn if coins could talk....

Hey Gil! Yep, that's me....drop a line when you come up and maybe we can hit a field together.

HH, Hank

XLT congrats of an excellent find! Most likely dropped by an immigrant to the new world before be became a nation. It sure would be amazing to hear the story it could tell about its journey to where you found it.
