House built in 1922 on what else, an old farm. Play nickel dated 1949 and a civil war bullet that's been chewed on.
There were battles in Berryville. I wonder if this was a "bite on this while we saw off your leg" kind of thing? Or just boredom?
The homeowners kept the modern coins and a few other things.

I agree. Today was brutal hot and I could only make one pass. They have a dirt basement, and they want me to come back and search that also.

Soldiers/people weren’t bitting bullets despite the idea of it lol if you find a chewed on bullet it’s from a hog, squirrel or other animal. A person would break their teeth biting a ball of lead like that lol. Cool find though! Chewed bullets are always unique!
