Hello from New Hampshire!

Yes, another newbie here to learn, dig, laugh and hopefully find a few treasures to share. I've always wanted to get into this hobby but never really made the time too. Hubby bought me a Bounty Hunter IV for Christmas to get me started and to see if this is really what I want to do. Started playing around in the woods and I'm hooked!

Looking to read as many posts and learn a few pointers, jargon, laws and of course make some friends.

:D

Welcome from South Carolina !!!!

The BH Tracker IV is a really good budget level detector, a great deal for the low price, I found a good video someone made to help those who are new to the Tracker IV -

Welcome from Maine. Great machine! Buy a 4” coil right after you learn where to set tone break for tabs and nickels. You won’t regret it. I started with that machine. I have a few others now, but I will never be without one. That’s why I have 2 of them. I recommend going to hobby lobby, use the coupon, and purchase a second one. Then both of you can get out and have a good time.

Another welcome from MA. I enjoyed my BH when I first started but upgraded as soon as I could and it stays in the closet now. Just not enough depth for our neck of the woods.

Thank you everyone from the wonderful welcome! I'm enjoying this forum so much. So many great posts and everyone seems really helpful. I'm enjoying the Bounty Hunter and I'm already looking at other metal detectors too. I want to have an upgrade model too.

That's a great idea about Hobby Lobby. They always have those 40% off coupons. I would like to have another BH just as a back up but I'm already looking for an upgraded detector so I have a more advance one to use.

I just ordered a 4inch coil for the BH too :) Thanks.
