New beach scoop company?!!!

Scoop sale coming

These scoops look great! They have a YouTube video as well check them out!

Once the word gets around what the problems are with this Motley, the manufacturer will want to dump stock. Look for a nice sale price

Again, I will not teach them what is wrong :p

My deep thoughts? New companies and new innovations are a good thing but just being different will not get the job done. At least the guy in Texas stole my design instead of designing his junk.

Chuck

scoop has a T Rex seam design. Which was a MAJOR FLAW for me if any of you ever saw my rabid rant about their junk and service. The handle is a JOKE. CF handles are the only way to go. This thing will bend/break on anything other than dry sand. Put in rock molested wet sand and its toast. Hard pack clay? Bye Bye. Good thing it has a quick release for the handle. You'll need to carry 3 handles on each hunt.

Yeah... I'm sorry, I didn't know that the person I was arguing with was the mastermind behind the sunspot scoops. Please excuse my ignorance. If he says it's bad it's bad.

Okay. I'm not going to say anything about the scoop itself because no one has tested it, but the rod? Ay yay yeah, that going to be hard to clean.

Josh

Edit: I went onto their Facebook page and it looks like it can only work with that rod... they might have put their downfall into their scoop...

You are a young guy steer away from sparkly things usually means its garbage and just wants to suck in the unsuspecting... if I was to try one of them which I won't the first thing I would do is put a CF handle on that joke of a handle they have now... where I hunt I fold that handle on my first dig...

Of course that might be a good way to test out their warranty. Pick one up and see how many handles you can break in a week and if they keep replacing them. I bet they change that design pretty quickly.

Chuck...you went from one hot spot to another.
Glad your back in the states but Michigan?! Please be safe!

The way I hunt I would not expect Chuck to fix my Sunspot scoops.... when I bought it I knew I would punish it so when I had a couple issues pop up I have had my scoop welded local... I'm prying up large rocks, I hunt in very rocky area's sometimes I wish I had a pick to clear away some of the rocks but it wouldn't matter its rocks all the way down to the target with a smattering of gravel ...

Most of beaches that I can hunt have been picked clean so I hunt the spots that others won't it a lot of work and not without pain  One such spot put me out of commission for almost 7 months a slight tear in my meniscus and strained MCL ligaments 28 weeks of physical therapy allowed me to hunt again then Covid struck closing my beaches down...

I have not hunted in a year life is way too busy right now.

I've hit the beach a couple of times in the last year. Haven't been able to leave my city (1200 miles from the coast). Using the new Nemo in a friggen pool to practice.
How do people even swim there? How do they get to the water? There is a beach near the Russian border that is similar to yours and every year they dump tons of sand so people can actually stand there.

The beach is no longer used by swimmers... I mainly hunt beaches of yesteryear... I'm not into fresh drop beaches I leave them alone for everyone else.. that picture is from a beach that hasn't been used since the 40's.

I absolutely love old beaches. I have a favorite myself. GLAD it didn't turn to rocks though. Just weeds and muck above the sand.

So there was sand there 60 years ago but its gone now? Can you think of any reason why this would happen?

Yes... all the sand is gone and what is left is rocks, mud and clay... most of the shoreline in CT was used as a bathing beach back in the day people did not bathe until winter was over and they used the beaches to take their first baths of the year... I hunt such places...

Everyone and and their mother has a metal detector so I leave the beaches alone that everyone else hunts to death...

I have made friends visiting historical societies and I get leads from them then I research what was shared with me..

i have been invited to talk about beach hunting but that is not my cup of tea I have donated some of my finds to these places.. not gold but things related to the area artifacts.
