Unboxed the 540 tonight and strapped on the 5x8,,,had it listed in the classifieds but it’s old news already so I figured I’ll use it.
I live across from a pre 1920s church,and at night the property is all mine to hunt.. Made a lot of great finds over the years there, and still do occasionally.
Tonight was the usual old clad,then a deep 12 on the vanquish. About 7 to 8 inches and out popped this piece of bling.. ran a little water over it in the sink and that’s the end result,lots of dirt still in the crevices of the pearl though.. There somthing missing from the back,either a clasp or like a cufflink snap,but I don’t think it’s a cufflink with a pearl in it. I think it’s gold,no flaking and it’s kinda heavy for the size of it. Can’t locate a hall mark but I think it coulda been on the clasp that’s missing. Always cool to find bling, if it’s gold I don’t know but for now it’ll go in the gold box...Vanquish 540 is deep,even with the 5x8

obviously some kind of headlamp, but even so its hard enough to locate targets in the daylight, ....
