Just amazing ! - Someone melted lead
on the English coin to use it later as a
pendant. :waytogo:

Two pences"cartwheel", of George III.

Hi Jonny we found a similar thing here in France this week... And discovered that they were basically a price tag for sacks of flour and over things. Maybe for those that were illiterate and couldn't write a price tag or those that were buying and couldn't read a price tag. On the reverse of the one we found there was another imprint of a coin that had been scratched out for the change in price..
I hope this helps you and others.
Ps . Your grammatical error made me 😂 everything has it's price!

Hey Ann don’t think it’s a bag seal thing or anything off a bag/sack it’s bloody huge it was on a farmers field I’m guessing either lead token or a attempt at a forgery of a cartwheel penny that’s a king George the third coin was in commission for a few years then removed people said it was to big to heavy etc intact here look I’ll take a pic of one I’ve got

Mine is the same but with a french coin imprint...
It corresponds with where I live as it had its own water run flour mill and farm... The french sites that I've looked at all say it was basically a price tag to show the value of a sack of flour...

It's lead and about 4cm in diameter... I'll try and find the info again on the internet net for you.
