Kentucky man finds over 700 Civil War-era coins buried in his cornfield

Thanks for posting this. Maybe one of those caches from the Knights of the Golden Circle? Guy named Jack Meyers wrote a book about a cache found in Baltimore in 1934 of several thousand gold coins. His theory, backed up by lots of research, was that it was a KGC cache.

My feeble little mind just can't wrap itself around this. This is WAY beyond awesome. Thanks for posting.:jawdrop::waytogo:

Love the disappointment of the archeologists, they have the info of the date ranges, types of coins, and where they are found. Yet they are still disappointed they didn't get their hands on them. Mind blowing that they don't understand why people don't have any desire to work with them.

That is a wild story and unlike hoser I can almost wrap my mind around it. There is a story of treasure buried somewhere along the Charles river not far from where I live. I told my wife that I was going to search for it and she offered me a new anchor ⚓️ so I would not float away. What a beautiful wife, always worried about me. 😁
