It's Official The XL500PI will be back-up

Garrett called yesterday and the Ni-cads needed replacing, the coil too!! Well, I s'pected as much. The coil more'n the Ni-cads but $160 and change seemed right reasonable to be able to have the Sea Hunter as a trusty, proven backup to the Excal. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FOURTH!! Going to Jeckyll Island for the weekend and give that Excal a Pre-Fourth week shakedown. I feel like Cosby when they told him he could have all the ICE CREAM he could eat after the tonsils came out!

The Excal is on the charger for Jeckyll as I type but there'll be no back-up down there. The XL500 is still on the operating table in Garland Texas probably awaiting a check to breathe new life into it!! Personally I don't mind the idea of a token for good luck but,... a demon? I'll pass there, prefer the ONE who casts them out !
