Of leaves that is. Seems like we had a bumper crop of leaves this year. I have been cleaning for quite a while and finally I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I should have taken a pic of the pile I had till I cut it down with my chipper/shredder. I have a sizeable pile of that material as well, but it gets used for mulch and compost. The pile you see in the pic is half of what it was before I fired up the chipper. I pick up my leaves with a tow behind mechanical sweeper that really works awesome. I made many trips back and forth to where I pile it for shredding' Then I use my tractor to push it all up in one big pile. What used to take me a week of raking now takes me maybe half day. Unsure what ever prompted us to buy a house in the woods.:rofl2: What do the rest of ya'll do for fall cleanup?

I hear you my brother, I live in the burbs of Detroit, Royal Oak. Royal Oak for a reason, monster old trees and this is my second push to the street where they vacuum them up for us. Guess what? I never touched a rake, good old Husqvarna backpack blower and 2 cold ones.

good old Husqvarna backpack blower
Oh yeah that is my other weapon of choice too. Had my Husky for several years and it hasn't let me down at all. Only time I rake is where I can't blow the leaves out. We have two leaf falls every year. First to fall are the maples and poplars, then after a couple weeks it's the oaks. We have a couple oaks that hold their leaves till middle of winter or early spring.

I would love to have a backpack blower, some maybe. I am getting tired of carrying it around .

So I loaned the back pack blower to one of my employees, he didn't lock his truck up and some POS stole it. I told him you break it you buy it on that day. I had to buy a new one last week, $650. He's paying for half of it only because I feel bad for him. They also grabbed ALL of his Milwaukee tools, way more than the blower. he's only 22 so I hope he has learned a lesson, lock your tools up.

Years ago I loaned a friend some portable photo studio gear for a wedding he was shooting out of town.
The gear and his camera gear was stolen from his car.

He was a police officer and started watching eBay. Some of the equipment was a bit rare.

Sure enough, it starts showing up for auction from a city about twenty miles from where it was stolen.

He contacted that police department and they caught the guy and recovered most of the stuff.

I have a lot of mature red oaks on my property and I get a pretty good carpet of leaves. I do have a nice 80V backpack blower but for for bulk cleanup I just block the deck chute of my Toro zero-turn and mulch them back into the yard. Works pretty well.

I have a Husqvarna Snow blower, not fun to use, but it is old like me.
