Hey Hawaii peeps, just wondering if its safe yet . Have you heard any new about the sand? I want to try and avoid the flesh eating bacteria. Doesnt sound like a pleasent way to go.

Hey Brokenman,

I'm not sure if it is safe or not, but I wouldn't take a chance. The news says that it is safe one day and then the next day they say that the bacteria count is up.

I have been out to a few other beaches around the island with no probs so far..but I have been careful to check myself for any cuts before going out. Picked up a nice silver chain and pendant today at Eva beach. Must have been a fresh loss cause it was still shiny.

I was down in Waikiki this past weekend, even spent time hunting the Hilton beach.  The water seemed fine (I know apppearances don't mean anything), bad part is I would guess that only about half the usual amount of people were in the water which equates to less drops.  I did see a few other regular hunters out also, no sign of German George.
