Help identifying lead object

The object is made of lead I had a few people look and comment as an ox knob but it’s made of lead!

The item was found near a lake I can say for sure it is colonial old color lead I’ve seen come from ground same color as musketballs.
An ideas I would appreciate thanks

Could be a Decoy weight.

Soon as I have the time I will bring it to the local museum my brother is friends with the folks there.

Decoy weight or an old cast net weight possibly. Not sure on this one, can't say I've seen anything like it, and I've dug my fair share of colonial relics. Hopefully someone will recognize it!
