Headphones for Nox 900. Go old school?

The wireless headphones that came the Nox 900 are okay but not great. They’re kind of uncomfortable after a while, the sound is decent but could be better. I really miss my Gray Ghost Ultimate headphones which I no longer have, super comfy and great sound, and now improved.

I am leaning towards getting the wired Ultimates and an adapter cable, one less thing to charge. Maybe down the road getting the Minelab WM09 Bluetooth module. The Gray Ghost wireless headphones require you to charge the headphones AND the transmitter - no thanks.

Any advice?
Other options?
Would the wired headphones give me a longer running time on the detector battery?

Heck, I have been old school for so long I'm comfortable with it. I have to have over the ear phones. The ones that the pads rest on your ears get really uncomfortable after a short time and start to hurt. Mine are wired Koss phones and they have been the most comfortable phones I have ever worn. I've never had the opportunity to use wireless phones, so I have no advice to give other than what I have seen with wireless stuff, they can be affected by interference from somewhere or something. But HEY! what do I know, right.

If you know somebody with a Manticore ask to try on the ML-105s that come with that machine. I just got some ML-85s for backup to my Manticore but I like the ML-105s better because the cup fits entirely over your ear opposed to the cup sitting on my ear with the ML-85s.

Thanks AJ. I was looking at those and they do look bigger and more comfortable. That’s a definite possibility.

I don't use ANY of that junk shipped with today's detectors. Only Quality headphones. I have no idea on runtime between hearing options?
